Rob Botterell, District of Hudson’s Hope negotiator for Site C compensation and mitigation, will be in Hudson’s Hope this Wednesday evening, October 21. You are invited to attend an informal meeting at the District office, starting at 7pm, Basement meeting room.
Meeting will begin with a discussion of the three documents that Hudson’s Hope proposed and made public last spring. They were to be discussed with the public and BC Hydro representatives shortly after. However, BC Hydro cancelled all community meetings for the summer and recently announced that there will be none going forward. So we will discuss them as a community. They are:
- Formation of a Community Engagement Committee – description of a committee set up to deal with any issues or concerns that arise during construction or operation of the Site C project.
- Compensation for tax losses to Hudson’s Hope resulting from loss or reduction in value of land flooded or placed under Statutory Right of Way.
- Statutory Right of Way document
- Issues from citizens
