There was a wildfire in this area in September, 2022. Trail status is unknown at this time.
Battleship Mountain is located north of Carbon Lake. The trail leads to Little Carbon Lake at 3.6 km, offering great camping or a turn-back point. Excellent views of Carbon Lake can be seen on the way. The trail is steep. Keep going another 1.5 km to reach the peak, offering fantastic views of Little Carbon and the surrounding country. Very steep climb with loose rocks. Plan to spend 6-8 hours on the trail.
