MULTI USE GATHERING CENTER LOAN AUTHORIZATION ASSENT VOTING
On Saturday, October 17, 2026 an assent voting opportunity will be held within the District of Hudson’s Hope on the following question:
“Are you in favour of the District of Hudson’s Hope Multi Use Gathering Center Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 974, 2026, to authorize the District of Hudson’s Hope to borrow up to $10,000,000, with interest, over a period not exceeding 20 years, in order to finance the construction of a Multi-Use Gathering Center?”.

About the Proposed Multi-Use Gathering Centre
The proposed Multi‑Use Gathering Centre is intended to serve as a flexible community facility. Concept drawings and layout options have been presented to the community. Potential uses include meetings, events, programs, recreation, and emergency response.
If borrowing is approved, detailed design and construction planning would begin. If borrowing is not approved, the project will not proceed as proposed.

Scrutineers
Scrutineers for and against the question must be appointed if applications are received from persons who wish to volunteer for the positions. Only persons entitled to vote as electors in this assent voting opportunity are entitled to act as scrutineers. To apply, complete the Application to Act as a Scrutineer and submit during the period of 9:00 am, Tuesday, September 1, 2026 to 4:00 pm, Friday, September 11, 2026.
