Special Meeting: Re: Peace Moberly Tract
Last year, the province negotiated a "special management" agreement with the Saulteau First Nation regarding an area of land between the Peace River and the Moberly River, known as the Peace Moberly Tract (PMT).
The Peace Moberly Tract includes land which is within the District of Hudson's Hope on the south side of the Peace River.
Several local people use the area for hunting, trapping and other activities.
On January 25th, two representatives from FLNRO met with people in Hudson's Hope but they didn't have the information that people here were asking for.
So another meeting has been organized to talk about the impact on traplines, hunting, and general recreational use.
The meeting next Thursday, March 3 is the meeting that was promised. So please come with your questions and comments.
