Carbon Lake provides an excellent back country recreation area for canoeing, camping, fishing and exploring the great outdoors.
The site is a small site nuzzled in the valley beside the lake. The lake is one a very few lakes in the Peace that reproduce Natural Lake Trout. The site has 4 campsites in an open environment, with 1 tent pad site.
Access to Carbon Lake is gained from Hwy 29 between Hudson’s Hope and Chetwynd on the Johnson Creek FSR at the 60 Km marker.
Located across the W.A.C. Bennett Dam, keep left along the West Utah/Table Creek Road. Turn right at the main T-intersection onto Johnson Cree Service Road and drive for another 28km/17mi.
