TAKE NOTICE THAT the Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel for the District of Hudson’s Hope will hold its first sitting on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 6:00 pm in the municipal office located at 9904 Dudley Drive, Hudson’s Hope.
When the sanitary sewer was extended to properties on Adams Street (formerly 111th Street) in the mid-1990s, a tax was levied that was based on the frontage of each parcel. . As re-set by the Municipal Finance Authority the frontage tax rate went from $1.487/ft to $1.381/ft until June 1, 2016 when the debt is paid. No changes have been implemented for 2014.
A bylaw to impose a parcel tax on owners of land for the electrical extension on Twelve Mile Road was amended in February of 2011 and states the annual rate shall be $493.16 of taxable frontage. The sum required to be raised annually by the parcel tax is $2, 958.96. No changes have been implemented for 2014.
