The District of Hudson’s Hope is investigating a significant leak in the town’s water system. The leak is resulting in the loss of up to 25% of the District’s treated water each day. To find the leak, District staff will need to temporarily shut off water to different parts of town. This allows staff to isolate sections of the system and narrow down where the leak is coming from. Each shutoff may last up to about four hours.
Because parts of the system may lose pressure during this work, the District will issue a precautionary, community-wide Boil Water Notice as of Tuesday, April 28th at 1pm. The Boil Water Notice will be lifted once water sampling has shown the water is safe to drink, which is expected to be between May 8 and 15, 2026.
Properties that will be shut off on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 1:00pm until 5:00pm, are shown in the map linked below.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to locate and repair the leak. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
