NOTICE OF APPLICATIONS FOR SCRUTINEERS

 

DISTRICT OF HUDSON’S HOPE MULTI USE GATHERING CENTER LOAN AUTHORIZATION ASSENT VOTING

 

(For authorization to borrow funds for the construction
of a Multi-Use Gathering Center.)

 

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, an assent voting opportunity will be held within the District of Hudson’s Hope on the following question:

 

“Are you in favour of the District of Hudson’s Hope Multi Use Gathering Center Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 974, 2026, to authorize the District of Hudson’s Hope to borrow up to $10,000,000, with interest, over a period not exceeding 20 years, in order to finance the construction of a Multi-Use Gathering Center?”.

 

Scrutineers for and against the question must be appointed if applications are received from persons who wish to volunteer for the positions. Only persons entitled to vote as electors in this assent voting opportunity are entitled to act as scrutineers.

 

If sufficient applications are received, one scrutineer for and one scrutineer against the question will be appointed for each voting place for both advance voting and general voting day. One scrutineer for the question and one scrutineer against the question will also be appointed to be present at the determination of the official results and, if necessary, at a judicial recount.

 

Application to Act as a Scrutineer will be received by the Chief Election Officer at the District of Hudson’s Hope Office at 9904 Dudley Drive, Hudson’s Hope, at www.hudsonshope.ca/assentvote, and via email at election@hudsonshope.ca, during the period of:

 

9:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2026

to

4:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2026

 

Applications will only be received during regular office days and hours during this period.

 

Application forms are available at the District of Hudson’s Hope Office at 9904 Dudley Drive, Hudson’s Hope, at www.hudsonshope.ca/assentvote, and via email at election@hudsonshope.ca
