Construction Access at Water Treatment Plant
The District of Hudson’s Hope would like to advise the public that contractors are continuing work at the Water Treatment Plant over the coming days and as part of this work, they will need to access the reservoir berm from DA Thomas Park to haul construction materials to the site.
Residents and park users are asked to keep the access gate clear at all times and not park vehicles or place other items in front of the gate.
Please use caution in the area and be aware of increased construction and truck traffic during this work. The District appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation.

Community Hall Demolition to Begin This Week
The District of Hudson’s Hope would like to advise residents that demolition of the former Community Hall is anticipated to begin on Friday, August 28, 2026. The work is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete.
For the safety of the public and workers, residents are asked to stay clear of the work area at all times. Heavy equipment, demolition activities, and truck traffic will be present throughout the project.
Earlier this month, all identified hazardous materials requiring removal, including asbestos-containing materials, lead-containing materials, and mercury-containing equipment, were removed from the building by a qualified hazardous materials abatement contractor. This work was completed in accordance with applicable requirements before demolition begins.
The demolition contractor will use dust control measures throughout the project to minimize airborne dust and keep the site safe.
The District appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while this work is underway. Auction Item Viewing Opportunity
The District of Hudson’s Hope invites the public to view items available in the upcoming auction on Thursday, August 6, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Arena.
This viewing period provides an opportunity for interested bidders to inspect auction items prior to placing bids.

Boil Water Notice Lifted
The District of Hudson’s Hope has lifted the Boil Water Notice.
Water samples were taken on Monday and Tuesday, and the results show that the water is safe to drink.
Residents can now use the water as usual.

Water Treatment Plant Upgrade

Water Treatment Plant Update
Work to complete the permanent water treatment system is continuing at the District’s Water Treatment Plant.
The current phase of work is progressing as planned and remains on schedule. A key piece of permanent treatment equipment, the new clarifier, will be delivered later this month or in early February.
Commissioning of the full permanent system is still expected in spring/summer 2026. Temporary disruptions to water service may be required at that time as part of final testing and tie-ins, and we will provide more information in advance of any planned service interruptions.
