Precautionary Boil Water Notice Rescinded

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Precautionary Boil Water Notice Rescinded

The District of Hudson’s Hope advises residents that the Precautionary Boil Water Notice for the municipal water system was rescinded on October 7, 2026.

The notice had been in place since September 15, 2026, while the District transitioned from the temporary clarifier to the new permanent Veolia Actiflo clarifier at the Water Treatment Plant and completed the required confirmatory water quality testing.

Confirmatory sampling results were satisfactory, and Northern Health has approved the lifting of the Precautionary Boil Water Notice.

Residents may now resume normal use of municipal tap water without boiling it first, including for:

  • Drinking
  • Cooking and food preparation
  • Brushing teeth
  • Making ice and beverages
  • Washing fruits and vegetables
  • Preparing infant formula and baby food

The District will continue routine monitoring of the municipal water system as remaining Water Treatment Plant commissioning and upgrade work proceeds.

The District would like to thank residents for their patience and cooperation throughout the precautionary notice and commissioning process.
