Advertisers will submit a copy of the advertisement design proposal for consideration and acceptance. The District of Hudson’s Hope reserves the right to accept or reject any advertising design or copy proposal.

Non-profit organizations will be allowed to advertise events, fundraisers and meetings free of charge.

“For Sale” advertisements in which the advertiser is looking to sell or buy a product. These advertisements will have a 50 word limit per entry.

The following are some types of content that the District may be prohibit or restrict: Advertising that: contains sexually explicit content; contains hate speech, whether directed at an individual or a group; contains any type of profanity; promotes tobacco; promotes firearms or weapons of any kind; promotes illegal drugs or related paraphernalia; and promotes or facilitates illegal activity.

All liquor licensees including bars, pubs, restaurants, licensee retail stores, wineries, breweries and distilleries, are allowed to advertise their products if in compliance with the Liquor Control and Licensing regulations for advertising. It is the responsibility of the liquor licensees to ensure compliance with these regulations.
