The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the structural integrity, sustainability, and accessibility of our community streets and pathways through regular maintenance and monitoring.
KEEPING OUR ROADS SAFE AND MAINTAINED
Our Public Works team ensures the safety of our roadways with regular street maintenance including:
- Pothole repairs
- Crack sealing
- Street sweeping
- Curb and gutter repairs
- Gravel maintenance
- Roadway structure maintenance
- Regular patrol and inspection
Regular maintenance maximizes the life of our roads and trails, and minimizes the long-term costs related to reconstruction.
Snow and ice control operations maintain the District airport, parking areas, streets and walkways in a reasonably safe and passable condition.
