Water Leak Repair Update

The District of Hudson’s Hope is continuing work to repair a significant water leak in the community.
A section of homes on Beattie Drive is currently without water. When valves were reopened following the most recent water system shutdown, the leak worsened and District staff needed to isolate the affected area to prevent further water loss.
Approximately 15 properties are currently affected by this localized water outage.
A contractor is on site and repair work is underway. The goal is to complete the repair today and restore water to the affected properties as soon as possible.
The precautionary Boil Water Notice remains in effect for the community. The District will complete confirmatory water sampling on Monday and Tuesday next week. Samples cannot be submitted tomorrow because they would not reach the lab within the required time. Once sampling results confirm the water is safe to drink, the District will notify the community when the Boil Water Notice can be lifted.
Thank you for your patience as staff and contractors work to complete the repair and restore normal service. Please contact the Director of Public Works, Desirée LeBlanc, at 250-783-1455 or desiree@hudsonshope.ca if you have any questions.
