DISTRICT-WIDE WATER LEAK INVESTIGATION

The District of Hudson’s Hope is investigating a significant water leak in the town’s water system, resulting in the loss of up to 25% of treated water each day. To find the leak, District staff will need to shut off water to different parts of town for short periods. This let’s staff separate sections of the system and narrow down where the leak is coming from. Each shutoff could last up to about four hours. This work will begin next week, between April 28 and May 1, 2026.
Because parts of the system may lose pressure during this work, the District will issue a community-wide precautionary Boil Water Notice as of Tuesday, April 28th at 1pm.
Water will be shut off to the properties outlined in the map below on Tuesday, April 28th from 9am until 1pm. The shut-off plan for Wednesday and Thursday will be provided early next week.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to locate and repair the leak. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
