Road Safety around District Vehicles

Following recent near‑miss incidents involving municipal equipment, the District is reminding motorists of the importance of exercising caution around road maintenance operations.
For the safety of the public and municipal staff, passing road graders on the wing side while they are in operation is strictly prohibited. Motorists are required to maintain a safe distance from all municipal vehicles and to allow operators adequate space to perform their work safely.
Thank you for helping us keep our roads and community safe.
Snow Removal

December 12,. 2025
We are expecting a significant snowfall over the weekend and our dedicated Public Works staff will be heading out on Sunday morning to start the snow removal process.
Our public works crews will be focusing on high-priority routes in the area. While most of the work will be completed over the weekend, any remaining tasks will be carried over to Monday.
To ensure efficient and effective snow removal, we kindly ask all residents to help us by keeping the roads clear of vehicles and moving garbage cans off the road. In doing so, we will be better equipped to keep the roads clean and safe for you!
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
If you have any questions, please contact the District Office at (250) 783-9901.
